How to avoid making the same Mistakes other Beagle owners are making.... (more)

    Finding a Quality Beagle Breeder

Once you have decided that you want to buy your new puppy from a Beagle breeder, your search can really begin. But where do you start? There are a number of places that you can start looking for a local Beagle breeder. You may want to check out the ‘puppies for sale’ ads in the classified section of your local newspaper first. This is a good way of finding a Beagle puppy from a pet breeder. They are often the cheapest of all the Beagle puppies that you are likely to find for sale. Some pet Beagle owners are extremely good pet breeders and have matched their dogs carefully, while others have not. You may not find as pure a Beagle as you want to by this method. If there are few Beagle breeders advertising in your local paper, you could consider placing a ‘want ad’. This service is often free or very inexpensive and may lead to finding a Beagle breeder with puppies for sale in your area before they have had chance to advertise, giving you the pick if the litter! Hobby breeders may also advertise their Beagle puppies for sale locally, however, they are more likely to do so in Beagle and dog related magazines. This is because their puppies are carefully bred to produce show winning dogs and their owners are extremely careful about any potentially new owner. This does mean that dog shows themselves can be a great place to chat to Beagle owners and find out about puppies for sale, too.

87% of all dogs DIE way too early because of the food they are fed. Find out how to STOP this happening to your Beagle!

The Internet undoubtedly offers the widest choice of Beagle breeders, not only in America, but all over the world. There are accredited Beagle breeder websites from countries including Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and even Thailand. However, you are most likely to want to find one within easy traveling distance as you are going to need to visit the puppies to see them with their mother on at least one occasion before you make your final decision.

The National Beagle Club of America (NBCA) is an excellent first stop in your search for a licensed Beagle breeder in your area. Its parent organization is the American Kennel Club. Members of the NBCA can have an entry in the website’s Beagle breeders listing. This is arranged by state for more convenient searching and each entry has an indicator as to their status regarding puppies for sale. It is worth contacting a few of your local Beagle breeders as they can always recommend other breeders in the area who may not have a listing in the NBCA database, yet. Of course, the NBCA is not the only website that has listings of Beagle breeders, but it is a good starting point. If you perform a search for licensed Beagle breeders in your area, you are likely to find links to more databases and individual breeders’ websites. The quickest way to narrow down this list is to check for their American Kennel Club or other accreditation. Either way, it is very important to know how to choose the right Beagle breeder.
