Pregnant Dog Help…?

my mothers dog is a pure bred chihuahua and she is currently pregnant with my dogs. he is a miniature beagle.which is a little bit bigger than my moms. ,my moms dogs is about 3 years old and my dog is about a year and a half old.
and what i wanted to know is ….
do you think the pups will be okay on coming out?
because my moms friend said that there might be problems on the pups coming out because the dogs a little bit bigger.
or
will we have to take her to the vet and see whats up???

all help is appreciated

You should take her to the vet and get an ultrasound to check the size of the puppies. It's much better to do it before she goes into labor than after when there is an emergency. That way if the puppies are too big you can plan in advance to have them delivered by caesarian section.

I hope you will consider getting her spayed after this unfortunate accidental breeding (and the beagle neutered).

Definitely get a vet's opinion. I would think the pups might be too big for the mom to handle, so a c section might be necessary.

I would definately take her to a vet to have them check the size of the pups and the mom. Chances are good that mom will have issues because the dad was bigger. it's never a good idea. I've never heard of a miniature beagle, I'd like to see a pic.

I suggest you take her to the vet AS SOON as she begins going into labor. And ,hun, after this litter please spay your female and dont risk her life or bring unwanted puppies into this horrible world again.

Take her to the vet. They will be able to assess the size of the puppies and the pelvis of your momma dog and then if she needs a ceasarian they will be familiar with her health situation. ahead of time.

Chihuahua's are one of ths hardest animals to have an easy birth. Since ur mom's dog is that small a C section seems like the best idea in order to keep the dog and the puppies alive. Definetly go to a vet to check out how many days the dog is pregnant (the dog usually gives birth around i think the 65 day or so) how big the puppies will be and how the labor will turn out! There are many chihuahua pregnancy books that i would also suggest taking time out to read they help a lot and show how to prepare the environment of the dog's labor. Going to a vet is definetly mandatory though so many things can go wrong and u need to be informed.

Hey!! My advice to you is even though the beagle is a min beagle, chances are she'll have problems passing the pups. I hope this wasn't an intentional breeding. This could cause a lot of harm to your girl. You need to bring the female to the vet to get an ultrasound to make sure everything going well, and the size of the pup in case you need to prepare funds for a C-section. Best of luck!!
